Drive Clean Colorado

Our Story

Drive Clean Colorado (DCC) functions as a sophisticated technical and administrative hub for sustainable transportation innovation throughout the Northwest region. Designated by the U.S. Department of Energy in 1993, this standalone 501(c)(3) nonprofit serves a diverse landscape of high-density urban centers and vast rural territories. Under the leadership of Executive Director Bonnie Trowbridge, the coalition leverages a robust 10-person full-time staff to bridge the gap between ambitious state climate goals and the practical operational needs of public and private fleets. DCC prioritizes a technology-neutral approach, grounding the energy transition in empirical data and strategic infrastructure planning to ensure regional energy resilience and public health.
